Achievements Include Strong Sales for its Newest Offerings and Industry Recognition for its Robust Solutions and Company Growth
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (November 8, 2004) - Workscape, Inc., a proven provider of outsourced benefits and workforce management solutions, today released details of its 2004 business accomplishments, including new and enhanced applications, noteworthy recognition for its solutions, and new customer wins across a variety of industries.
“2004 marks another high point for Workscape as we continue to execute on our vision of delivering comprehensive outsourced HR solutions with the industry’s highest adoption rates,” said Tim Clifford, president and CEO of Workscape. “Our proven ability to attract and retain a blue-chip customer roster combined with prestigious industry recognition year after year is exciting for us and our customers. It also validates that our solutions are designed to meet customer needs and that our strategy continues to be validated in the marketplace.”
New Customers Join Workscape’s Strong Client Base
During 2004, Workscape has welcomed more than 15 market leaders to its customer roster including Baker Hughes, Textron, UGS, Liz Claiborne, Quintiles, Electronic Arts, and Deloitte. Additionally, Workscape has signed new contracts with existing clients including Schering-Plough, which is transitioning to a hosted solution for compensation planning. “We are very pleased that these enterprises have concluded that Workscape is best able to address their benefits administration needs and drive enhanced workforce performance,” stated Clifford. “We look forward to a lasting, successful relationship with each company.”
Electronic Arts, a well-known state-of-the-art games provider, was the first customer to take advantage of Workscape’s new “pay for performance” offering. This offering is a result of the company’s acquisition of Performaworks that united Workscape’s award-winning enterprise compensation management solution with Performaworks’ employee performance management solution. And when UGS, a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, became an independent company, they turned to Workscape’s recently expanded, full-service benefits administration solution to serve its’ employees’ benefits needs.
In addition to welcoming new customers this year, Workscape continues to retain long time clients. On this list is one of Workscape’s award-winning Employee Portal customers, General Motors, which renewed its agreement with Workscape this year after its initial 3-year contract expired in 2004. The world’s largest employee portal, which GM has named “mySocrates”, boosts productivity for their more than 190,000 U.S. hourly and salaried employees by providing centralized access to valuable work and life related resources.
Product Innovations and Accolades Strengthen Leadership Position
Marketplace reception and industry accolades for Workscape’s new solutions were exceptionally strong in 2004. In early 2004, Workscape launched OneForce™, the company’s next-generation portfolio of self-service, benefits administration, and workforce management applications. The newly released products, supported by a new corporate identity, were unveiled at the company’s inaugural User Conference held in Scottsdale, Arizona in January.
In addition to the recognition via new client performance, Workscape and its solutions garnered key industry accolades. Workscape was named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for New England, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area by Deloitte & Touche LLP. Workscape’s OneForce/Benefits, a Web-based solution that automates the full range of benefits services including online enrollment and eligibility management, an HR service center, employee communications, vendor management, and COBRA/HIPAA/FSA administration, was recognized as one of Human Resource Executive Magazine’s, “Top HR Products of 2004,” and OneForce/Compensation was designated as a finalist for the Software & Information Industry Association’s Codie Award for “Best HR Product or Service.”
“We are very proud of our achievements this year and are well positioned for success in the fourth quarter of 2004 and beyond,” commented Clifford. “We thank our clients for their confidence in our solutions and hard working employees for helping to keep up the great momentum we continue to enjoy.”
