(July 6, 2004) - Workscape, Inc., a proven provider of benefits and workforce management solutions, today announced the general availability of OneForce™/Compensation 5.1, the latest release of the Company's award-winning enterprise compensation management solution, and OneForce/OrgManager 5.1, a complementary workforce management application for maintaining organizational hierarchies. Powered by Workscape's OneForce technology platform, OneForce/Compensation 5.1 includes an enhanced user interface, comprehensive reporting capabilities powered by a custom version of Crystal Enterprise™, and a new, easy-to-use compensation configuration module.
Both of the new applications leverage the OneForce 5 technology platform launched earlier this year. The OneForce platform is based on industry-standard XML and J2EE technologies, and employs a web services-ready architecture to ensure that all applications can be easily and cost-effectively integrated within a customer's multi-vendor enterprise environment. Global HR and line managers gain enhanced productivity through the user interface improvements in Workscape's OneForce/Compensation 5.1. Application screens now feature tabbed presentations for quick navigation with full integration to help and other supporting content, including access to HR policy and compensation guidelines, frequently asked questions, and robust decision support worksheets from every screen. A new promotion worksheet is now available to help ensure adherence to promotion guidelines. In addition, existing merit and bonus worksheets have been enhanced with results tables to provide greater clarity of user actions. Additional user interface enhancements include "mouseovers" displaying column descriptions, and access to consolidated reporting and analytics.
The expanded standard reports library now available with OneForce/Compensation 5.1, powered by a custom version of Crystal Enterprise™, the industry-leading enterprise reporting solution from Business Objects, is designed to support the needs of multiple system users, including line, group and compensation managers, HR generalists, and the system implementation team. Role-based visibility enforcing data security within the reports prevents unauthorized viewing of compensation data. Based on the definition of their role and related clearances, managers can access additional reporting capabilities, such as the interactive report viewer providing group trees, column sorting, export capabilities to multiple formats, basic and advanced search query functionality. The new reports are designed to drive measurement of all compensation elements as well as address management, HR strategic, and HR process analysis. Standard reports now available with OneForce/Compensation 5.1 include performance distribution, adherence to budget, exceptions, promotion analysis, manager status, adverse impact, board stock, employee change audit, and budget projection and analysis, just to name a few.
OneForce/Compensation's new configuration module provides an interactive graphical user interface that facilitates the modeling and creation of compensation plan structures and their components. This robust functionality enables an HR business analyst to create plans with specific names and IDs, as well as define plan periods, pay cycles, budget groups, pay elements, and performance ratings for each plan. In addition, the creation of the bonus pay element includes the ability to define bonus groups, factors, and scores.
Concurrent with the availability of OneForce/Compensation 5.1, Workscape has also released a new version of OneForce/OrgManager. OneForce/OrgManager 5.1 is a unique web-based tool that facilitates the creation and maintenance of current and accurate organizational hierarchies.
